No, this is not an image of an earthquake in San Jose.  It’s the way this particular piece of glassware renders the scene (seen) as I make the exposure in the early morning outside my brother’s home in suburban SJ.  Again, here I am holding the glass in from of the camera as steadily as I can; perhaps this contributes to the shaky sense of it all.
